You see the pickup in volume the last couple of days in Prologis (PLD)? Do you know that this is a sign that someone knows something? Something is coming. Someone already knows. You can see this reflected in the volume. Who is it that knows? Who knows! Some party or counter party to some of their extremely complex accounting.
I know because I know the mathematics.
We don’t know how other people know. But someone knows. Don’t be shocked when the news hits! I don’t know what the news is, but someone does. No matter what the news, the math will win.
“Increasingly, the mathematics will demand the courage to face it’s implications.”
1) My trail run. When Black Nasty’s Talking to the people came over my head phones I found myself looking into the reverse prism of my life. I was brought back about 20 years, to a Thrift store in San Diego, CA. My pal Diamond, who is the essence of cool, found a very funky little gem in the 50 cent record bin. Back at the house, the prophecy came true. It may have been the funkiest groove I had never heard of. The words of Black Nasty ring true always. Whatever street you are on.
He that knows
and know he knows
follow him
he that don’t know
but wanna know
lend him a hand
he that don’t know
but think he knows
look out
he that don’t know
and don’t wanna know
look out
2) The action in Visa (V). Bearish as can be. When it breaks the low print of the IPO price, gravity will take hold.
3) Money. What is money to Mr. Volatility? Money is a store of energy. Here is the equation:
Money = Store of Energy
If you don’t think you have enough money (energy), then you don’t.
If you think that you have enough money (energy), then you do!
To re-iterate this point, I quote professional triathlete, coach, businessman, and writer Gordo Byrne:
-If you really want anything - love, money, respect, power… then the quickest and most effective method is to give it away. This is a very powerful concept.
This is the title of the latest Buy rating on Prologis (PLD) from Merrill Lynch (MER).
I have a philosophical debate with the title.
Your perception and my perception are different.
There is only one reality.
You call it a Buy. But you can’t own any. That is a conflict of interest.
I can find so many flaws in the logic of this buy rating that it further emphasizes that my perception is THE reality. And my perception is that Prologis (PLD) common stock will be worthless.
I include below the calculation Merrill Lynch (MER) gives for NAV of (PLD).
It is an interesting set of numbers. It is wrought with flawed logic and useless assumptions. The analysis misses such a key point. A point that is so obvious. Prologis (PLD) has tipped. To the point of no return.
I am still very confident on my pink sheet thesis for Prologis (PLD).
My Valero calls (VLO) are still in play.
This morning I couldn’t resist adding a new put position. Visa (V) sure looks like a $22 stock to me.
It is very difficult to buy puts or call here. The $VIX is spiking and spreads have widened out. I still think we are in for quite a bit of a snap back rally. But who really cares? What matters is how am I positioned? Snap back rally or not, where am I finding cheap insurance?
